Renovation
This complete renovation entailed reconfiguring and updating the kitchen, great room, dining room and foyer for a family that loves to bake, cook and entertain. A wall dividing the existing dining room and kitchen was removed to create an expansive, open kitchen. A bland great room fireplace was embellished and surrounded with proportionate architectural detailing and a never-used living room was converted into the dining room. Two large islands and a counter height table extension allow ample work surface for this kitchen designed with dedicated zones to prep, cook, bake, dine and entertain. An unexpected combination of white and charcoal stained cabinets create interest while visually breaking up the vast amount cabinetry. A reflective glass herringbone backsplash with a floating shelf was applied at the bar zone while a more rustic porcelain brick tile anchors cooking zone. This custom design beautifully implements function and form and is truly a Baker’s Delight!
