This major renovation included the transformation of a screened porch into a four-season Sunroom and an update to the dark and dated Great Room and Kitchen. The Great Room fireplace facade was widened to create symmetry, stone was added including a new curved hearth and a reclaimed chestnut barn beam added character to the assembly. Hardwood floors replaced carpet and the floorplan was reconfigured to add a dinette. The opening to the Sunroom was widened for a more open flow and custom designed concrete tiles were made for the floor in a lively pattern with fresh colors. The kitchen cabinets were faux-finished with a contrasting blue painted island and new shroud to finish the space. The custom ceramic and shattered glass mosaic tile backsplash added texture and interest. The coffered ceilings throughout were painted to brighten the entire space. Colorful and comfortable custom furnishings completed this project for a unique and very livable design created for a young family.
