This whole house renovation project embraced the classic bones of the home while breathing in new life that better aligned with our client’s fresh aesthetic. Our design objective for this house situated upon Lake Erie was to achieve an overall lighter, updated and more comfortable feel with less ornate and rustic elements. The overall floorpan remained in tact while the kitchen and bathrooms were redesigned with new layouts, finishes and fixtures. Hardwood floors throughout were refinished, the Great Room fireplace facade was reimagined and an airy and elegant stair rail and wall paneling updated the grand stair. The lower level theatre was adorned with walls upholstered in plaid and marquis to make gamey and movie night a main event. Furnishings throughout were custom scaled and curated to bring a comfortable human scale to the voluminous rooms.
