This quaint cottage is the Carriage House to a larger scaled new construction project on a grand property currently under development. Our team worked remotely with our clients to design the interior space plan, appoint construction materials and select furnishings throughout this small home. The home was taken down to the studs and our team reconfigured the entire space plan to allow the home to better function. Site lines and axis points were carefully realigned and the ceilings were raised with the addition of wood cladding and metal turnbuckle structural supports to create volume in the small rooms. Crisp white shiplap enhanced the original casual and charming character of the home while sophisticated and updated elements such as a solid marble vanity sink and well appointed kitchen create a high end and modernized updated structure. A well scaled, playful bunk room and cheerful blue cabinetry are added elements of spunk in this truly one of a kind home. Construction by Payne & Payne Builders.
