This project was a complete interior and exterior renovation with addition to an existing compartmentalized four bedroom home with detached garage. Located adjacent to our Curated Comfort new construction project, the home was redesigned to embrace a sense of place and reconfigured to better suit guests and contemporary living. The formal dining room was omitted in lieu of a larger well appointed kitchen with island seating and the wall between the two spaces was removed to create an open concept which invites natural light inside. The laundry room was relocated from the lower level to the first floor and a second staircase upstairs was removed to create a formal entry, pantry, more space and an overall better flow throughout. Our team created a first floor guest suite for ease of use for older or long term guests. A small addition including the lower level allowed the stairs to be reconfigured for modern day tread depth and a larger hearth room with outdoor access. A fourth bedroom and narrow hall upstairs were combined and opened up to the new office to create a Loft space where guests could relax and congregate away from the first floor. A quaint, cottage aesthetic with comfortable and durable furnishings throughout complete this charming Curated Comfort Guest House.
