This new construction project was a multi-year collaboration with our clients who were first time homebuilders. They came to the project with a beautiful mountainous property and extensive research on how they wanted the home to function for their family. Months were spent fine tuning the floorpans and functionally of the home prior to finishes and furnishings being a focus. Every space in the home has a purpose and future plans for the exterior and lower level were thoughtfully considered during this stage. Our team enjoyed designing this authentic, comfortable home that combines the striking elements of mountain modern architecture combined with the charm of a cottage in the woods. From fine tuning the exterior materials including the rustic stone, siding and roof to crafting the interior paneled cabinetry, carefully specified tile, millwork details and wood clad ceilings, no detail was spared. Spindle chairs are combined with a modern, deep sofa in the Great Room. A modern wing host dining chair is upholstered in a traditional plaid fabric in the Dining Room. Dramatic lighting and statement furnishings are perfectly scaled and appointed throughout to function and stand the test of time for this growing family. Views out every room bring the beautiful nature and natural light inside this one of a kind Mountain Cottage home.
