Our clients were a young family building a home for the first time. Upon collaboration, we learned that they desired an overall modern aesthetic with a warm and comfortable mix of natural elements. Honest and authentic materials were carefully proportioned and sparingly appointed. This organic modern concept for the interiors further built upon the modern Tudor exterior style of the home. A generally neutral palette exuded comfort and serenity for their busy lifestyle. We added layers of texture and a mix of materials to keep the spaces interesting. Implementing contrast in value rather than color created depth throughout the home. Our interior architectural detailing consisted of clean design details such as the trusses in the great room, floating stained wood built-ins in the study, a marble fireplace surround in the master bedroom and a wall of marble in the master bathroom. Lighting and furnishings were all purposely selected with both form and function in mind. Architecture and construction by Alexandra Fine Homes.
